Dr Sohab Safraz
Research Interests
Sohab Sarfraz is currently a Research Associate at the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy, University of Cambridge. Sohab completed his PhD from University of Cambridge in 2014 in the area of CMOS MEMS based Gas Sensors. He did his MPhil from University of Cambridge in Microelectronic Engineering and Semiconductor Physics in 2004 and his BSc degree in Electronics Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Pakistan in 2003.
Sohab worked at Schlumberger, UK from 2004 till 2011 developing ultra-high temperature electronic systems. He also worked as a consultant with Cambridge Enterprise, University of Cambridge for Michell Instruments, UK on humidity sensors from 2013 till 2014.
His research interests include:
- Design of high temperature electronic systems.
- Modelling and characterization of CMOS MEMS based gas sensors.
- Modelling and characterization of micro gas chromatography systems.
- Synthesis of Metal oxide nanoparticles via sol-gel process
