Prof. Vasant Kumar, joined by Prof. Katerina Aifantis (U. of Florida, USA), Dr. Claudio Capiglia (Talga Technologies Limited, UK) and Dr. Athan Fox (Ever Resource Ltd, UK), is going to chair the 7th International Symposium on Sustainable Secondary Battery Manufacturing and Recycling, at Phuket, Thailand, from November 28 to December 2, 2021.

This symposium will be held as part of the combined SIPS 2020 and 2021 (SIPS2020/2021), an international multidisciplinary conference organized by the not-for-profit corporation FLOGEN Stars Outreach, which is dedicated to achieving sustainability through science and technology.

This year, a record of 9 Nobel Laureates will be attending SIPS 2020/2021: Professors M. Stanley Whittingham, Didier Queloz, Dan Shechtman, Sir Konstantin Novoselov, Aaron Ciechanover, Avram Hershko, Kurt Wüthrich, Ferid Murad, and Sir Richard J. Roberts.

The topics include but are not limited to: Sustainability of batteries, including recycling and recovery of active materials, supercapacitors and hybrid systems, and Future battery systems.

The papers will be double peer reviewed and published in the official Publication entitled: "The 7th International Symposium on Sustainable Secondary Battery Manufacturing and Recycling" containing ISBN and ISSN numbers, and indexed by Google Scholar joining the existing 3000 SIPS articles. Furthermore, many papers will be subsequently published as part of special volume of relevant Journal dedicated to this symposium.
