MCG Ph.D. student Emma presented at the ISMAR-APNMR-NMRSJ-SEST 2021 last week.

The title of her poster was "Investigating Separator Membranes Used In Organic Redox Flow Battery Systems Using NMR Spectroscopy". In the poster, she presented some results showing that crossover and sorption of model quinone electrolytes can be detected using in situ solution NMR and ssNMR, respectively. In future work we will use these methods to compere crossover rates when using different electrolyte-membrane combinations. Ultimately, these studies should yield a new understanding of crossover processes and enable the design of improved membranes for RFBs.

Congratulations to Emma!
