Bright just left MCG after spending around 14 months with us on a Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship.
Bright is a PhD student visiting us from the University of Ghana. He was a member of St. Edmunds College. During his time with us, Bright focused on the synthesis, characterisation and application of metal-oxide photo-catalyst materials that are capable of absorbing both UV and visible light for water purification. Out of lab, he can easily be seen engaged with a diverse range of activities, he was a member of the departmental Green Impact Group, a member of Cambridge Global Food Security, WASH Research Officer for the Cambridge Development Initiative (2019/20), and served as the Head of Branding, Publicity and Partnership for African Society of Cambridge University (2019/20).
Just a couple days ago, Bright returned to Ghana to continue his doctoral research. Time really flies, and he will be missed greatly by the group-we really enjoyed having Bright here.
