Research Interests

Photocatalysis for applications including water disinfection, dental treatment and water splitting.

I'm currently working on a project between Cambridge and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - developing highly active photocatalytic membranes for solar water disinfection.

2016 · ESPRC Global Challenge Research Fund - Main researcher carrying out a project focused on development of photocatalytic prototype reactors for water treatment.

2015 · Smart Village £3000 bursary award to undertake water purification research in Tanzania.

2015 · Santander £1500 Internship Bursary Award

2012 · Highest achieving student in all examinations. Averaged 89% in all graduate masters modules at SPECIFIC research laboratories.

2012 · TATA innovation award 3rd place. Awarded for a water treatment photo reactor design. 

2012 · Highest achieving final year undergraduate. averaged 88% in all final year modules at Swansea University

2012 · SWMA polymer group award. Awarded for undergraduate dissertation, featured in Materials World magazine.
